We understand that joing Cub Scouts can be overwhelming. So, we're here to share with you some resources that we think will be helpful and give you a platform to ask questions.
We are Cub Scout Pack 621 and are part of Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America/BSA)
We welcome ALL youth in (or entering) Kindergarten through 5th grade.
We mainly draw students from Ballwin Elementary in the Rockwood School District. However, we welcome any and all youth looking to join Cub Scouts!
Our goal is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
A Scout is:
Trustworthy
Loyal
Helpful
Friendly
Courteous
Kind
Obedient
Cheerful
Thrifty
Brave
Clean
Reverent
Pack 621 places great emphasis on these values and for every Cub Scout to "do their best" in everything they undertake.
We hold Pack related events and activities once a month - usually at Salem United Methodist Church in Ballwin, MO.
Your Scout will also participate in Den meetings. The timing of these meetings varies by Den.
Each Pack and Den meeting typically focus on a specific "Adventure". Most adventures can be completed in one meeting.
At the completion of each adventure Scouts will get immediate recognition in the form of belt loops (K-3rd) or pins (4th/5th)
After completing all of the required adventures (eight), scouts will be awarded a new uniform patch representing the earned rank within Cub Scouts.
A Cub Scout Pack is every Scout in the program regradless of grade level and is lead by the Cubmaster.
Dens are Scouts of a particular grade and are lead by a Den Leader
Think of the Pack as a school, and the den is the class.
Cub Scouts is a family activity. The Pack is run by parents who volunteer their time and talents to deliver a quality program for every youth, and can only be successful with the active cooperation of all of the pack’s families.
If you can volunteer some time to help plan, organize, or execute Pack activities, please contact pack621ballwin@gmail.com for a list of tasks or volunteer duties that need your support.
Providing the program for the 2025-2026 School year will cost $170 per Scout.
$85 - National Registration Fee
$85 - Pack dues to cover awards, loops/patches, event food, camping fees, etc.
We offer multiple fundraising opportunities year-round for Scouts and families to fully cover the cost of membership.

Scouting America and Cub Scout Pack 621 places the greatest importance on creating the most secure environment possible for our youth members.
We ensure that our volunteer adult leaders are formally trained, and that they are familiar with and adhere to Scouting America's Guide to Safe Scouting.
We mandate "two-deep leadership" ALWAYS, to provide the safest environment possible for the youth in the Pack. For all activities planned within the Pack, "age-appropriate" and "safe" are mandatory requirements (as well as "FUN").
