The Cub Scout Uniform

The Cub Scout uniform for Scouts in grades K-4th is the blue button-down shirt.

Arrow of Light Scouts (5th Grade) will wear the Scouts BSA Khaki shirt.

All of these items can be purchased at Scouting Outfitters - West County Scout Shop located at 1122 Town & Country Commons Dr Suite 200, Town and Country, MO 63017.

We understand that costs can be prohibitive and ask that parents purchase the blue Cub Scout Shirt (K-4th) or the khaki BSA shirt (5th) at minimum. We also tend to have a bin of outgrown regalia that may be available to you.

Purpose of the Uniform

Cub Scout uniforms serve a dual purpose:

Demonstrating that a Scout is part of a team and showing individual achievement (Scouts wear the badges they’ve earned).
Wearing the uniform to meetings and activities also encourages a neat appearance, and good behavior

In general, every Cub Scout should wear their uniform to all Cub Scouting activities, including Den and Pack meetings, unit outings, and any activities done with members of the Den or Pack (often referred as "Class A" uniform).

When playing sports or participating in other physical activities, we ask that Cub Scouts wear their Pack t-shirt (aka "Class B" uniform).

Pack/Den leaders will provide advance notice of any occasion when Scouts should wear anything other than the complete uniform.

Any time you are uncertain about what to wear to an event, ask your Den leader for guidance.
